Stuff on the noticeboards for your URGENT attention:

The Tuesday Evening Summer League started on the 15th April. The team sheets and fixture lists are available for each player, in the games room. Please pick yours up as soon as possible if you have not already done so. You can see a copy of the team sheets by clicking HERE.

We are holding one of our "Thai Nights" when "Ban Thai" (who decribe themselves as 'Lancashire's Top Thai Restaurant') of Alexandria Road will come into the Club and make us a banquet. This will be held on THURSDAY 15th May starting at 7:15. The cost will be £12.50 per person, which is what we have to pay the caterers. If you didn't go to the last Thai evening, you will be given priority for this one, so get your name down quickly as we are limited to 36 people. The list is now on the Notice Board, but will come down on the 12th. Don't put your name on the list if you are not sure if you can come, because if you fail to turn up, you will still have to pay the full cost.

The entry sheet for the Wilding Plate (played on 18th May), which is a handicap competition will soon be on the noticeboard in the lounge. Tick your name on the list if you wish to enter. (Closing date 13th May).

Other VERY IMPORTANT matters:

Application forms: There is a supply of these on the noticeboard by the phone in the lounge. There is also a notice saying which form is which, but this seems to be largely ignored. As a reminder, the BLUE forms are for applications for full or senior membership. The PINK forms are for applications for joint membership (ie the spouse or partner must already be a member of the Club). The GREEN forms are for a couple wishing to join at the same time, one as a full member and the other as a joint member. Please make sure that you give people the right form, because if you don't you waste everybody's time including your own.

The "Eddie Hodge" competition got under way on the 16th April. There is no need to enter, just turn up for 1:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon and everything will become apparent. The prizes for winning this competition are a very nice Silver Cup, a bottle of fine Malt Whisky, but best of all, the right to run it the following year!!
